Though WWE have been decidedly mum on the broadcast details of their spectacular 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble set for Saudi Arabia on 27 April, slated participant Roman Reigns let the cat wriggle free of the bag whilst speaking on Jim Norton and Sam Robert's SiriusXM radio show yesterday night.

"Hopefully I'm not giving spoilers here," he ventured, "but I believe it's going to be a huge Network special."

You were giving spoilers, Roman, but we appreciate it. Cheers big lad.

The wonderfully named Greatest Royal Rumble will be the first event of WWE's 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority, part of the country's wider Vision 2030 project aimed at social and economic reform. Reigns himself is cited for the show, set to take place in Jeddah's King Abdullah Sports City, alongside fellow luminaries such as John Cena, AJ Styles, and Triple H.

WWE have yet to confirm Roman's lapsus linguae, but it seems pretty likely a show of such considerable magnitude will be streamed on their OTT platform. One certainly suspects their Saudi partners will be all for it, given the implicit purpose behind the event. Check back for updates as they occur.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
