WWE: This Guy Could Main Event WrestleMania In Four Years

Meet Tony Nelson, currently in talks to sign with WWE. He is being touted as the future of WrestleMania and if he signs as expected would be the latest WWE star to be recruited from NCAA Heavyweight Wrestling out of the University Of Minnesota. Nelson was picked up by WWE Scout Gerald Brisco, who stated his belief that Nelson could be main eventing WrestleMania in just four years time. The college Champion certainly has all the physical attributes, he won the NCAA titles in both 2012 and 2013. He also had some offers from the NFL which tells you everything you need to know about just how athletic this young man really is. Brisco used to be roommates with Nelson's current wrestling coach, J Robinson, so he had the inside track in signing the prospect. Brisco had a April 23rd deadline to get the deal done, which explains why he tweeted on Wednesday €œthe WWE waits for no one. Make the right decision.€ Nelson is a fan of WWE and will be keenly aware how lucrative wrestling can prove to be. A self professed fan of The Rock, he will also hope to emulate Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, college wrestlers who went on to great success in the WWE. Brisco's hopes of Nelson main eventing WrestleMania may not be as unrealistic as it sounds. Lesnar headlined WrestleMania 19 within three years of joining WWE. The Rock also owns the distinction of main eventing Mania within three years of starting at developmental. Kurt Angle headlined Mania within four and a half years. So keep your eyes peeled, the new 'next big thing' in WWE could very well be Tony Nelson.
