WWE Hell In A Cell 2015: 7 Heel & Face Turns That Must Happen

Don't worry. Big Show doesn't appear on this list.

WWE has never been shy of booking shocking turns in the Fall, thereby setting an early tone for WrestleMania season. Who could forget The Rock aligning with the Corporation in late 1998, or Brock Lesnar turning babyface in the Fall of 2002? Both then went on to headline the following 'Manias - a pair of huge main events against Steve Austin and Kurt Angle respectively. The modern-day WWE is in desperate need of a few big turns, and the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV provides the perfect platform. Some superstars are acting in completely inconsistent fashion, or seem to be performing under an alignment which restricts their own natural personality. A shocking turn on pay per view would shake up the atmosphere around WWE, an atmosphere which has now firmly entered its traditional post-SummerSlam lull. Hell in a Cell presents WWE with the perfect opportunity to turn a handful of struggling names, giving them a stronger sense of purpose and direction. Various superstars could use a turn for all manner of reasons - be it a loss of personal momentum, a dead-end storyline, or simply to inject some excitement into a traditionally slow part of WWE's calendar year. It may seem far off, but WrestleMania season depends on it.

7. Cesaro

Stop me if you've heard this one before. A furiously popular WWE midcarder climbs the ranks, only to be unceremoniously de-pushed as soon as he begins to look the real deal. Cesaro is the latest to fall victim to this baffling trend. The Swiss Superman was gathering a huge head of steam prior to SummerSlam, making a strong connection with fans and continuing to impress in the ring. A narrow loss to Kevin Owens didn't seem too disastrous, but several consecutive, decisive defeats at the hands of Big Show did no favours. Now Cesaro struggles to even get on television - he's been absent from the last few editions of Raw and Smackdown altogether. Hopefully (and this might sound crazily optimistic), WWE are merely saving him for a hot new angle. Hell in a Cell would be the perfect stage for a shoot-style heel turn. Have him go on a destructive rampage, targeting referees and backstage workers in frustration at his lack of recognition. Although naturally likeable, it's easy to forget how good a heel Cesaro has been in the past. His proud, confident personality can easily be transformed into arrogance with a few tweaks - and could save him from a career of further lowercard obscurity.
