Matt Hardy finds himself in a difficult place with regards to his WWE career at the moment.

The tag wrestling legend looked set to embark upon a post-WrestleMania push when he and brother Jeff became SmackDown Tag Team Champions on 9 June, but an injury to Jeff meant the duo were forced to give the belts up just three weeks later. Now, Matt is barely even on television, with his appearances largely restricted to 24/7 Championship chase sequences.

Last night's social media activity suggests that the 44-year-old may soon be heading in a new direction:-

The above video feature Hardy consists of a sarcastic rant against Matt's current predicament, with the multi-time champion unable to "put into words" how "difficult" it is to "fulfil two intricate, detailed, compelling segments of live television."

This isn't the first time Matt has hinted at a new character direction. March saw him bring a new 'Multifarious' character to life on Twitter, with Hardy running through old gimmicks like 'Woken' Matt, 'Big Money' Matt, and Matt Hardy V1, though none of this made it to WWE television. Whatever happens next, it's clear that his lack of TV time can't stifle his creative mind.
