Crikey Moses, it feels like it's been ages since I did one of these.
WrestleMania 35 all the way back in April (and then at our own live show the afternoon before Raw, which was a crease) is, by WWE standards, an age between PPVs. Was a long break probably needed? Yes. Has it dulled my blades for the content? Absolutely not. Did I use this exact same intro last year? Maybe.
Since then it's been a bit of a weird time for WWE. A lot of storylines have spun their wheels, a lot of the booking’s been really weird but we’ve sort of given them the benefit of the doubt because, well, it’s just that time of year. The looming threat of [Wrestling Company WWE Fans Are Really Sick Of Us Mentioning] hangs heavy over every decision, and they really, really need to start pulling some interesting storylines out the bag.
Money in the Bank has served them well in this regard in the past, and they'll be hoping this year's instalment can really kickstart their year. Not as much as we are, admittedly, but still.
