WWE: My WrestleMania 29 Experience

WrestleMania-29 There really wasn€™t much fanfare leading into this year€™s WrestleMania due to a pretty lacklustre card and fairly timid build up. But for me, this was the most highly anticipated event I could have ever hoped for as I would be making the trip to the MetLife stadium all the way from good €˜ol Blighty to witness my first WrestleMania. Not only that, this was to be my first televised WWE event I had attended and I simply could not be more excited. I€™m fully aware that this event was received like a testicular rash by most wrestling purists but it will forever hold a special place in my heart for my simply being there. I can only hope that my rendition of events over the course of Sunday and Monday will either change people€™s opinions regarding the event or spur people on to make sure they get there asses on a seat for an upcoming WrestleMania. But let€™s not get ahead of ourselves; we should probably start form the very beginning. I recently got married to my beautiful wife and our honeymoon was always destined to be a trip to New York. It was no accident though that we would be in town when WWE were over the road in New Jersey for the Granddaddy of the all seeing as we are both avid wrestling fans. €˜Mania had our names on it and if you can€™t treat yourself to some Mania tickets for your Honeymoon, when can you? We arrived in New York USA on the Wednesday prior and were most giddy to see the city that never sleeps. My excitement was pretty high as you would expect, seeing the sights and hearing the sounds of NYC as I€™m sure most people are but seeing all the promotional posters on lamp posts, tourist information centres and even a HUGE canvas covering Wall Street had me bubbling. The mere idea that we would be attending the showcase of the immortals had me buzzing beyond belief. Naturally we took in the sights and sounds of the Big Apple for a few days and it was simply amazing, but you don€™t care about that. Click below for the start of the journey...
