WWE News: John Cena Out With A "Significant" Eye Injury

John Cena John Cena is out of action with an eye injury. The WWE announced the superstar would not be appearing at a live event in Kansas on Sunday, offering refunds to unhappy fans. With Cena out of action, Daniel Bryan replaced him in the main event against Randy Orton. We are now hearing from f4wonline that the eye injury is "significant". That's pretty worrying for the WWE - the eruptions of the last week mean this is the last thing they needed right now. Cena is the biggest full time draw in the company, him missing any of Mania season could be crippling for Wrestlemania and indeed the Network launch later this month. With the second biggest star in the company (CM Punk) resigned and the continuing Batista / Bryan negativity, this has been a truly awful 7 days for Vince McMahon. The f4wonline has also added to their report that the injury was sustained at Saturday's WWE live event in Orlando. Randy Orton poked Cena in the eye, evidently pretty badly. How long could Cena be out? Not long I would wager. Even though the Observer reports this injury as "significant", Cena is notorious for not missing much ring time. He has came back early from several serious injuries, bouncing back from a surgery in 2013 in just a matter of weeks. Even if John has to work with an eye patch he will be in there at Wrestlemania 30. For now though, Cena is going to have to change his catchphrase from "You can't see me" to "I can't see you."
