WWE NXT Takeover Respect: 22 Things You Might Have Missed

After witnessing the Iron Woman main event match to last night's WWE NXT TakeOver: Respect, the IWC has only question: "Who's been cutting all these damn onions?" With the theme of respect resounding throughout the night, both in tribute to the late, great American Dream, and in relation to the public elevation of women's wrestling as a blockbuster draw in today's industry, emotions were running high at Full Sail, with many and manly and womanly tear shed. The storytelling was simply on fire. It was a wall-to-wall fantastic night of wrestling too, as fans have come to expect from NXT specials, the 2-and-a-bit running time speeding past like a freight train. Hardened critics will be able to find some grumbles with the night - hybrid teams of solo stars like Rhyno & Corbin overcoming established teams like Gable & Jordan is a little hard to swallow - but there can be no doubt that, in hindsight, Night of Champions looks bloated and stagnant in comparison to last night's "minor league" offering. It didn't hurt that it had one of the hottest wrestling crowds in recent history in attendance either. As usual, there were high spots and emotional tributes that will linger in everybody's memory, but a great deal more tiny little details, most of which offered by the crowd, that some audiences might have missed. Asuka vs Dana Brooke Brooke is gently murdered by Asuka, before tapping out to the Asuka Lock. Tyler Breeze vs Apollo Crews Crews hits a spinning powerbomb for the pinfall. Final - Samoa Joe & Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin & Rhyno Balor pins Rhyno after the Muscle Buster/Coup De Grace. Bayley (c) vs Sasha Banks - 30 Minute Iron Woman Match for the NXT Women's Championship Bayley wins 3 decisions to 2. Sasha rolls-up Bayley after a thumb to the eye. 0-1 Bayley hits the Bayley to Belly. 1-1 Bayley is counted out after being thrown into an LED screen on the outside. 1-2 Bayley rolls-up Sasha. 2-2 With seconds to go, Sasha submits to a submission move that looks a lot like the Rings of Saturn. 3-2
