WWE Offer Sting More Than Just A Legends Deal

WWE are now offering Sting a deal better than just a legends contract, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The same source had previously reported that WWE's offer was just a standard $10,000 legends deal. It is now understood that Sting's deal has the legends contract as part of it, but there are more to the talks than just that. This makes far more sense, Sting's WCW fame clearly puts him at a cut above of your regular old timer wrestler. WWE can utilise him in high profile ways, particularly if they can make a WrestleMania 31 match of Sting vs Undertaker, which has been strongly speculated towards. The Observer confirms that Sting still hasn't signed but they believe he inevitably will at some point in the future. The report also comments on the news of an agency filming a Sting promo video. This is indeed a WWE project, but WWE have no actual involvement. Working on the video is an agency for a company which has a working business relationship with WWE. In our own analysis, this sounds like it could possibly be the WWE 2K15 video game, in a promotional capacity similar to what 2K did with Ultimate Warrior for 2K14. The Observer points out that people within WWE were not happy that news of the Sting video project leaked out, particularly since Sting hasn't officially signed with WWE. It's one of those things, the casting company obviously had to advertise, but the way they did it made WWE's Sting relationship seem a given. The worst kept secret of 2014 continues, with Sting inevitably set to sign at some point and the WWE 2K15 video game set for an autumn release date.
