WWE Planning "Raw Reunion" On January 19

Appearances by Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and more.

It was announced on Wednesday that the January 19 edition of Raw in Dallas will be a Raw Reunion episode with WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) and likely future Hall of Famer Kevin Nash on the show. The "Raw Reunion" is similar to WWE running "Old School Raw" where they brought back a lot of past stars, so look for more names to be announced soon. What's interesting about that edition of Raw is that it takes place one week before the Royal Rumble. The advertised main event is John Cena vs. Seth Rollins in a Lumberjack Match. There's a chance that is only a dark match, but as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that is likely going to be the main event of Raw so that they could end it by having the lumberjacks brawling to set up the Rumble match. The appearances by Hogan, Michaels, Hall and Nash are likely being done because they can use those legends to talk about how important it is to win the Royal Rumble and they could also discuss the WWE Title match. We've seen all four of them used from time to time in recent months with Hogan also hosting Raw & Smackdown next week leading up to Christmas. Brock Lesnar, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, was advertised for the event, then was removed and now if you go to the American Airlines Center website you can see that Lesnar is advertised for the show after all. It makes sense that he would be on it since it's the last show before the Rumble PPV where he will face John Cena. The final noteworthy item about that Dallas event is that WWE is expected to announce that AT&T Stadium (Cowboys Stadium) where the Dallas Cowboys play in the NFL is going to be the site for WrestleMania 32 in 2015. WWE will most likely make the official announcement either on January 19 or close to that date. It would probably be a good idea to do it in the morning or afternoon prior to Raw and with some WWE legends in the house that would certainly make it a bigger deal. If you're in the Dallas area, you should make plans to check out that episode of Raw. It looks like a big one.
