WWE Planning To Use Ric Flair More Often

He could be part of storylines with Charlotte or Sting.

WWE is planning on using Ric Flair more often in the coming weeks, according to a report from PWInsider. He's not expected to be on Raw next Monday, but should be back in the month of September. It makes sense to use Flair since he's got a lot of ties to a lot of people in WWE. If his daughter Charlotte becomes a top contender for the Divas Title then it would be smart to have Flair out there motivating her and potentially celebrating if she wins the title. He could also be used in the Seth Rollins/Sting storyline. Since Rollins used Flair's "to be the man, you've got to beat the man" line on Raw, Flair could be upset about that and tell Rollins he shouldn't be saying stuff like that because he has to prove himself.

Sting has a storied history with Flair and they were great rivals in the late 1980s, throughout the 1990s and even wrestled on the last WCW Nitro in 2001. Flair could do a promo talking about how great it would be to see Sting win the WWE Title. In the past, Flair was rumoured to be paired with The Miz more regularly and he talked about wanting to manage Dolph Ziggler, but it doesn't look like either of those things will be happening. Since Hulk Hogan is no longer going to be used by WWE, Flair will likely be their go to legend again and as we saw on this past Monday's Raw, the fans still love him. In a year where fans have mourned the loss of Dusty Rhodes and Roddy Piper, the presence of Flair is more than welcome.
