WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (March 21)

Stephanie slipping up, Ziggler skirting the line, and everyone laughing when they shouldn't.

Well, this week's Raw is in the books, and it sadly must be considered a disappointment. The pressure was always going to be on for WWE, heading into Philadelphia (a notoriously smarky city) just two weeks before WrestleMania 32 - with several storylines still underdeveloped, and Roman Reigns proving as unpopular a babyface as ever. Sadly, the show didn't really rise to the occasion. Kevin Owens and AJ Styles but on a great match, but we know that WWE's roster can deliver in the ring when it matters. Our lack of faith in the product is rather based on storylines and booking, and once again, little thought seemed to be given to WrestleMania's biggest angles. It's a worrying thought, but perhaps WWE are content with Roman Reigns as the undisputed top guy, and with Shane and Undertaker fighting for paper-thin reasons. All in all, then, a disappointing edition of Monday Night Raw. A welcome distraction, however, came in the form of numerous half-hidden gags, accidents and slip-ups throughout the show. Maybe if we concentrate hard enough on these, it'll be enough to ease our 'Mania fears. Hopefully, at least.

10. No Punishment For Roman

Our first example is less a specific incident, more of a general fault with this week's Raw. Having assaulted Triple H last time around, Roman Reigns repeated the trick in the parking lot, ambushing The Game as he prepared to drive away from the arena. He also interrupted Stephanie McMahon at the top of the show, literally snatching the mic from her hand. You might imagine that The Authority would come down hard on Roman for such actions, perhaps throwing a difficult test his way with his WrestleMania title shot on the line. Instead they did...absolutely nothing! This was honestly hard to notice, as Reigns' actions (from both this week and last) were completely brushed over. It's hard to imagine Steve Austin running amok in the Attitude Era without Vince desperately attempting to get even, but that's exactly the tone WWE gave here. Hopefully we see some sort of backlash next week - but it's worth remembering that we're running rapidly out of time before April 3rd.
