Guest commentary is a thankless task, for the most part. Inexperienced wrestlers often get exposed with such an unusually long time afforded to them to get an all-too-simple message across, whilst even proven performers sometimes struggle to keep pace with the lightning quick announce team.

That said, there's perhaps never been such a fertile time for superstars to actually get a win amongst the Raw crew. Because if Booker T can hold down a regular spot, (to steal a line from Vince McMahon the commentator) anything really can happen in WWE.

The Hall of Famer's maddest moment this week came during the Jason Jordan/Karl Anderson clash that opened the show proper after the white hot Shield segment. Its mere placement felt like yet more inadvertent aggro for Jordan's ailing persona to try and overcome, but he's now also 50% of a feud he doesn't know he's in. 'The Book' can't make up his mind if he even likes Jordan or not, and this week got so lost in his own thoughts that he turned on his colleagues with a brainless aside.

"You've never even been inside the ring," said Booker to retired wrestler Corey Graves and braggadocios WrestleMania winner Michael Cole. The pair gobbled his idiocy up yet again and still couldn't work out what his agenda was, or possibly what planet he was on.
