WWE RAW 2/11/2013: 5 Things We Learned

3. Cena, Ryback, and Shaemus vs. The Shield Feels Fails to Compel

Entering this week, we all could have guessed that these six men would be facing each other at the Elimination Chamber PPV. What we could not have guessed is how much this match would feel like a time filler. It's almost as if WWE Creative didn't really know what to do with all six men following the Royal Rumble, so let's throw them all against the wall and see what sticks. There's nothing compelling about this matchup as we head to the PPV, and it's shocking to feel this way about a John Cena match that involves the big investment the WWE has made in The Shield storyline. Sunday can't come soon enough, so this can be over and these six wrestlers can focus on their developments towards Wrestlemania.

4. The MidCard Is Still a Mess

It's hard to know exactly how to feel about basically the entire mid-card roster as we head to the PPV this weekend. The Miz vs. Cesaro is a bit interesting, but at times it's still hard to see Miz falling so far from where he was within the past several years. The tag teams are on hiatus due to the Chamber match, and even Dolph Ziggler feels like an afterthought at this point. Here's hoping WWE has better plans for the mid-card as it pertains to Wrestlemania, and that after this weekend they can focus in and get organized as it relates to the younger talent. And we can also include the Del Rio and Big Show angle in this category: they just feel unimportant and uninteresting at this stage.
