We now know who will be in charge of RAW and SmackDown when the WWE brand split occurs next week, but we don't know who will be each show's second in command.

In a move that will surprise absolutely nobody, Vince McMahon revealed during RAW on Monday night that Shane McMahon will be in charge of SmackDown and Stephanie McMahon will be in charge of RAW. What was changed, however, is that McMahon revealed that each of them will be given the title of "Commissioner."

Vince revealed this in a backstage segment when he arrived at the arena, saying the position deserved an upgrade in title.

Vince also announced that both Shane and Stephanie will get to choose General Managers for their respective shows, and the pair will announce who they will be choosing on next week's edition of RAW (the night before the WWE Draft takes place on the first live Tuesday edition of SmackDown).

Vince gave competition as the reason for each of the Commissioners needing a GM. Vince told Shane and Stephanie that he wants their shows to compete for ratings, social media, attendance, and merchandise. A GM on each show will allow them delegate out the day-to-day portions of the job so they can concentrate on winning the competition, and perhaps one day, the keys to the WWE kingdom.
