In celebration of WWE's upcoming 1000th edition of Raw, we at What Culture have compiled a list of the Top Ten General Managers throughout Raw's almost 20 year history. Bringing you a breakdown of whom we deamed to be the most entertaining Raw GM's that WWE have had to offer. While 'General Manager' is the current term used to describe the person in charge of WWE's flagship show, back in the Attitude era and before, it was the Comissioner who called the shots. They have also been taken into account when this list was compiled. Other monickers include Owner and Sheriff, both of which also oversaw Raw. So without further ado, let the countdown begin...

10: John Laurinaitis: October 2011 - June 2012

John Lauriniatis, the man who brought us People Power, claiming that he was simply giving the fans what they want. A man who felt it necessary to advise us of both his corporate position and his on screen role every time he picked up a mic and a man who claims he dominated the wrestling industry back when he was in his prime 30 years ago. John Laurinaitis, self professed Mr Excitement makes the cut at number 10... Before his latest run on WWE TV, John Laurinaitis was known as Vince McMahon's right hand man back in the office. As he often mentioned, his position was that of 'Executive Vice President of Talent Relations' the guy in charge of the hiring and the firing. The man and position in which Punk had related to in his famous speech last year, the guy who wished no longer needed talent "the very best in their future endeavours". After making his way onto TV, he managed to weasel his way into the General Manager position after successfully offing Triple H who was, having relieved McMahon of his position, at the helm. Abusing his authority John Laurinaitis marched to the tune of his own band, firing Jim Ross and reinstating the heel duo of the Miz and R-Truth, much to the displeasure of the fans.
