WWE RAW Rating Gets Slight Bump This Week

RAW viewership numbers stayed roughly the same this week, while the rating increased slightly.

After weeks of negative news in regards to their television rating and viewership, WWE received a little bit of positive news when it came to the October 26 of WWE RAW. The cable broadcast rating increased slightly this week, while the viewership stayed roughly the same. This week's edition of RAW was lacking when it came to star power. John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, and Randy Orton all missed the show. Additionally, Dean Ambrose did not wrestle on the broadcast. Despite so many top stars not appearing on screen, the show's average viewership came in at 3.354 million viewers this week. This was only 3,000 less viewers than last week's show, which averaged 3.357 million viewers, so that has to be considered a slight victory for a company who's ratings woes have been well documented. Competition this week was light compared to the last several weeks. There was no baseball playoff game to compete with, and the Monday Night Football game between the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens drew less viewers this week than Monday Night Football has been averaging this season. Unfortunately for WWE, it appears they were unable to draw in any sizable number of the fans who didn't watch football this week. The hourly breakdown for the show was as follows.
First Hour: 3.635 million viewers (3.600 million last week) Second Hour: 3.213 million viewers (3.347 million last week) Third Hour: 3.214 million viewers (3.123 million last week)
The cable broadcast rating this week came in at a 2.46. This was up from last week's show, which drew a 2.21 cable broadcast rating. The fact that the ratings number increased this week with lower total viewers tell us that less people, as a whole, were watching television this week on Monday evening.
