WWE Raw Ratings Crisis - New Historic Low This Week

The September 28, 2015 edition of RAW has to be considered a ratings disaster.

If WWE was hoping that they would improve upon last week's record low RAW viewership with a good show this week, they would have been incredibly disappointed this afternoon when the television numbers came in. The September 28 edition of WWE RAW set a new record low for viewers since the show moved to three hours in 2012 (holiday shows are not factored in). This week's RAW averaged 3.33 million viewers for a broadcast headlined by Roman Reigns taking on Bray Wyatt. The hourly breakdown of the show was 3.46 million viewers in hour number one, 3.326 million viewers for the second hour, and the third hour brought in 3.188 million viewers. This week's show followed the same trend as last week's September 21 edition of RAW, which saw the hourly viewers decrease throughout the show. It's obvious that a major shake-up is needed, as the RAW audience has now been dropping consistently for quite some time. The Fall is ordinarily one of the toughest times of the year for WWE to garner viewers, with their flagship show going head to head with ESPN's Monday Night Football, and RAW is feeling the pain more-so even this year than in past years. This is the fourth week in a row that the show has hit a historical low in either the overall viewership number or the television ratings figure.
