Taking a leaf out of the British currency following last week's Brexit vote, the ratings for WWE Monday Night RAW plummeted 11% this week.

The show from Tampa, Florida drew 3.093 million viewers, down from the 3.467 million of the previous week. The figures are according to ShowbuzzDaily.com.

The first hour of Raw drew 3.096m pairs of eyes, with hour two showing a slight increase with 3.173m before the inevitable drop-off in the third hour, as even the most passionate of wrestling fans reach Monday night World Wrestling Entertainment saturation point.

This is all very notable for a number of reasons, reasons that all and sundry will for sure read slightly too far into. Last week's show was the inevitable post-Money in the Bank curiosity show, as many would have tuned in to see what RAW with Dean Ambrose as champion would look like.

The major news going in to Monday's show was the suspension of Roman Reigns. One would assume that a show guaranteed to be missing The Guy might see some more tune in, but the opposite is true. The show itself was stacked, featuring two huge matches in John Cena vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles.
