WWE Raw Viewership ALMOST Hits Record Low After Survivor Series 2019

Rey Mysterio's US Title win and Seth Rollins' heel turn didn't pull big numbers.

That this week's WWE Raw was one of the most well-received episodes in months didn't matter to the viewership, with the red brand scoring the second-lowest non-holiday episode ratings in the show's history.

Per data provided by Showbuzz Daily, Raw scored an average of 2.109 million viewers. This is down from the previous week's 2.128 million.

The usual hour-to-hour drop-off was in full effect. Here's how things looked as the show progressed:-

Hour one: 2.241 million

Hour two: 2.211 million

Hour three: 1.896 million

Raw averaged a 0.71 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.

It's worth noting that the average viewership was down 11% from this time last year.

WWE faced big competition from the NFL's Monday Night Football game pitting the Baltimore Ravens against the Los Angeles Rams, which drew an average of 10.925 million viewers. This must be taken into account when analysing the decline.

The numbers are nonetheless disconcerting for WWE, who put on a great show highlighted by Seth Rollins' well-played heel turn, Rey Mysterio's United States Title victory, and a bunch of strong matches. Survivor Series was a solid pay-per-view too, and should have theoretically inspired more people to tune in the following night.
