WWE Raw: Why Brock Lesnar Was Kept Off TV Monday?

brock lesnar The past week had a lot of talking points for wrestling fans: a new World Champion, a referenced John Cena "heel-turn" and the best crowd in recent history. However there was one glaring omission from the show - a non-appearance from Brock Lesnar. After much initial speculation as to why he wasn't there, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that The Rock was scheduled to be assaulted by Brock sometime during Raw to set up their rumoured Wrestlemania XXX match. The angle was quickly forgotten after The Rock had to return to Miami because of the injuries he suffered in his WM29 match with Cena. According to the Observer's sources, Rock was the one who came up with the angle to establish the feud. Monday afternoon was described as panic because Vince McMahon led the writing team in redoing the entire show. Brock Lesnar was then kept off RAW when word came that Rock wasn't going to be there. This is because, as of last Monday, he began the start of his new contract with the WWE. The details state that he has very limited TV dates over the next year. Insider sources claim that WWE officials didn't want to waste a Rock or Brock appearance without something major happening to move the feud on. The PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson is also reporting that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will not undergo surgery for his torn abdominal muscle and hernia that he injured at Wrestlemania 29 this past Sunday. This is said to be due to the fact that undergoing surgery would delay filming of his upcoming film "Hercules" that is scheduled to begin overseas shortly. As stated above, The Rock was injured during his match with John Cena last Sunday. He confirmed this with the follow on his twitter,
"My "Hmm.. I think I just tore tendons off my pelvis" face. Love you guys for all your support!!pic.twitter.com/OprmWMQUwE"
It was revealed too that Dwayne suffered a Hernia along with his torn pelvic tendon during Sunday's main event.
