WWE Royal Rumble 2013: 10 Surprise Entrants We Want To See

8. Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin About a month ago rumours began to circulate that Shelton Benjamin had requested his release from Ring of Honor as he was trying to work out a deal with the WWE. He was recently written off TV in an injury angle, and the wrestling world held it's breath in anticipation of his WWE return. It hasn't happened so far but the Royal Rumble is as good a time as any to relaunch his career. Shelton had varying success in his original run, with his on again off again pushes that saw him defeat Triple H one week and jobbing the next, but was always one of the most exciting Royal Rumble contestants. In a WWE that is missing the likes of Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin could be the man to watch in this years over the top rope contest.

7. The New Age Outlaws

new age outlaws The New Age Outlaws have been enjoying a rejuvenated run at house show live events lately as well as a few appearances on Monday Night RAW which makes them hot contenders for surprise entrants at this year's Rumble. Neither Road Dogg or Billy Gunn will be expected to do all that much in the ring except provide a few pops but a Rumble return may be enough to set in motion a feud with The Rhodes Scholars that should lead to Wrestlemania and a passing of the torch match with the tag team titles on the line. A long run for either man has no real value but the nostalgia effect alone could be enough to bring back the casual fan to WWE's current product.
