Traditionally, the Royal Rumble is a time for celebration within World Wrestling Entertainment. Not only does it kick start the much-vaunted 'Road To WrestleMania' that the promotion shout from the rooftops about, but it also represents a time of spiked overall interest in what WWE are doing. Generally speaking, lapsed fans or those of a more casual persuasion tend to be interested from January-April, which remains the organisation's most lucrative time of the year. 2016 promises to be no different in that regard, so it was therefore imperative for the group that the Royal Rumble started things with a bang. Similarly, WWE had some making up to do with fans who were left dissatisfied with the past few Rumble cards. Analysing the pay-per-view made for fascinating viewing, because what might happen come WrestleMania 32 started to become more clear as the show progressed. People now have much a much more vivid picture in terms of what could happen at 'Mania, because WWE made strides towards booking several big marquee bouts for the show during the Rumble. Those matches will more than likely be announced in due course, and obviously Fast Lane will offer some bumps along the way.
