Over the years, pro wrestling fans have come to expect certain things from the annual extravaganza known as the Royal Rumble. For one (aside from the 2011 iteration of the infamous bout, which featured 40 performers), people are aware going in that there will be 30 entrants in the match. It's also become clear that specific tropes exist in the fabric of the Rumble, which is entirely understandable considering there have been close to 30 versions of it. These are things WWE officials have come to rely on, and they're very much expected to be part of the 2016 edition by fans, too. For example, it's true that the 30th entrant rarely has much bearing on the result of the Royal Rumble. This is fascinating, because fans have long been told that position #30 is the best number to draw for wrestlers, but it seldom leads to success. Further to that, there's always that one performer who is booked to last for a lengthy period of time in the Rumble, before finally succumbing to exhaustion and being hurled from the ring. These are plot devices WWE can use to construct the match appropriately, but which ones can fans expect to see in the 2016 Royal Rumble?
