WWE Royal Rumble 2019: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

A surprisingly solid show.

The Royal Rumble has come and gone for another year, and you know what? Despite plenty of fan pessimism in the lead-up to the PPV, it was a pretty decent outing for the most part.

Sure, the 7-hour run-time (including the kickoff show) was exhausting and obscene, but between the surprise results, the rock solid title bouts and two decently entertaining Rumble matches, it was a well-booked show that didn't leave too many fans fuming.

It also wasn't a hugely memorable Royal Rumble event by any means, though. There were no terrible matches but a number of forgettably workmanlike ones, and both of the Rumbles lacked that special something that iconic moments are truly made of.

But again - WWE's usual commitment to torturing its fanbase was barely anywhere to be seen during the show, with a focus on results that were (mostly) crowd-pleasing, unexpected and well-earned.

And so, the Road to WrestleMania truly kicks off...
