WWE Rumour: Triple H Vs. Seth Rollins At SummerSlam?

The Authority's boss could take on "the future" at SummerSlam.

WWE is planning a huge match as one of the main events of SummerSlam as current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is currently scheduled to face Triple H, reports Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio. The feud has been teased ever since Rollins started bragging about how he's the greatest WWE Champion ever and was ramped up when he started using the Pedigree as a finisher.

The likely scenario would be for Rollins to turn babyface with Triple H staying in the heel role because if Hunter is going to be on television it makes sense to keep him heel, especially if he's going to face The Rock at WrestleMania next year. A scenario that could play out would see Rollins lose the WWE Title to Brock Lesnar at Battleground, then Sheamus can cash in Money in the Bank on Lesnar and then Triple H could proclaim Sheamus as the new face of WWE. That could lead to Sheamus vs. Lesnar at SummerSlam with Rollins in the face role against Triple H.
It's no surprise that Triple H wants to have a match at SummerSlam since it's taking place in a big market like Brooklyn and it's arguably WWE's second biggest show, so the company is going to want to feature a lot of their top stars including a part timer like Hunter. The other factor that comes into play with Rollins possibly going face is that all three Shield members would be face, so there could be a reunion very soon with Rollins on the same side as Reigns and Ambrose again.
There have been rumours and some other indications that this was WWE's direction, but as we know in WWE the plans can always change.
