WWE & Shaquille O'Neal Agree Deal For WrestleMania 28

WWE creative has been told to come up with ideas for how to use O'Neal at the show, possibly a match vs The Big Show on the cards.

Shaquille O'Neal is very close or has already signed his deal to appear as a big celebrity for this year's WrestleMania 28. O'Neal is known to be a big wrestling fan (he was special guest host of RAW some years ago) and has been contacted about working with the company at Mania before but a deal for this April's show looks to have been worked out. Initially the idea was for an O'Neal vs. The Big Show in a celebrity sportsman vs. WWE superstar match at WrestleMania that would somewhat mirror the Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. The Big Show match that was a huge success a few Mania's ago. If you recall Big Show and O'Neal had an altercation during the basketball star's appearance with the company previously. We don't know if that is still on the cards but the WWE creative has been told to come up with ideas for how to use O'Neal at the show. In terms of another huge name for Mania, WWE creative has not been told to come up with plans for Brock Lesnar at this year's show. WrestleMania 29 next year seems much more likely. When Vince McMahon was asked about Lesnar coming in this year and whether Paul Heyman would again manage him, McMahon said that wouldn't happen. The feeling internally is that if any talks between WWE and Lesnar do happen then it will be kept very quiet and only a few officials would be told.
