WWE SmackDown 1000: 10 Superstars Who Must Return

7. John Cena

SmackDown 1000
WWE

WWE's resident Superman may have been one of Raw's most integral superstars over the past 15 years, but he kick-started his success on SmackDown in 2002. Originally nicknamed The Doctor of Thuganomics, a young John Cena made a name for himself as he worked his way up through the ranks on the blue brand, eventually winning the United States Championship from the Big Show. He then went on to defeat JBL for the WWE Championship, ending his historic title reign.

Though Cena took the title to Raw and has become a staple of the red brand ever since, he has had a few less memorable runs on SmackDown as well, even winning the World Heavyweight Championship in 2009.

With the veteran set to return to WWE just 10 days before SmackDown 1000 for the Super Show-Down event in Australia, it's highly likely that he will be present for the special episode. Cena is always available when WWE needs him and thus, we should expect to see him return to the brand where it all started for him.
