WWE SmackDown Results 21/2/12 - CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan

Last night's WWE Super SmackDown live special results from last night's show in Rockford, Illinois. The show opens with Lilian Garcia introducing World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and his girlfriend AJ Lee. Bryan cuts a promo about believe not believing he would get out of the Elimination Chamber with his title but he did. He says his story is a real Rocky inspiration and not Santino Marella's. Bryan says his celebration was ruined by Sheamus but that's ok because Bryan is going to ruin his WrestleMania moment. Bryan says he will win at WrestleMania and also defeat CM Punk tonight. The Miz comes out. He says he know Bryan would become World Champion one day, ever since he mentored him at NXT. Miz congratulates him on his success and that one day they should form a day team. Sheamus comes out and insults Bryan and says he will get what he deserves at WrestleMania. Miz interrupts the staredown and says Sheamus deserves to be taken down a notch or two. Sheamus pushes Miz away but Bryan slaps him. Bryan runs away. 1) Sheamus defeated The Miz with the Celtic Cross. Teddy Long and Aksana in a backstage segment. Askana says she wants Teddy to be General Manager of both RAW and SmackDown and that behind every good man is a good woman. John Laurinaitis and David Otunga walk in and Laurinaitis calls Long unprofessional. He should be the manager of both shows. 2) Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger defeated Kofi Kingston & R-Truth with the Zig Zag after a thumb to the eye! Santino is backstage with the Cobra, knocking over plastic cups. Heath Slater appears and swipes all the cups off the table. Santino says he has a special Cobra and it spits water in Slater's face. CM Punk and Chris Brown twitter war is hyped. 3) The Great Khali defeated Drew McIntyre with the Punjabi Plunge in a squash match. Matt Striker is backstage with Big Show who says he will deal with Mark Henry tonight and that if he gets close to Cody Rhodes he is going to break his neck. 4) Mark Henry vs Big Show goes to a no contest when Cody Rhodes interferes. 5) David Otunga defeated Ezekiel Jackson with the same finisher he used on RAW. Don't know what Zeke did or who he pissed off but he is being punished for something. WWE Champion CM Punk is talking to Matt Striker backstage. Punk says he supports Long as GM of both shows and will confront his WrestleMania opponent Chris Jericho on Monday night's RAW. Punk says the World Title has gone to Bryan's head and he is going to bring him back down to Earth tonight. 6) WWE Champion CM Punk defeated World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan with the Round House kick after Sheamus interferes. Teddy Long comes out and says the match won't end like that. He argues with Laurinaitis over the finish and so Teddy restarts the match. The match restarts and the finish comes after a Superplex from the top where both men stay connected and hook each other's leg for the pinfall. Both GM's think their man won the match and argue in the middle of the ring as SmackDown goes off the air.
