Last night's live WWE Super SmackDown results from the Great American Bash event! The show opens with a cookout involving Primo, Epico, The Usos, Alicia Fox, Natalya, Yoshi Tatsu, Hunico, Camacho, Hornswoggle, Rosa Mendes, Kaitlyn, Tamina and others. Teddy Long walks in and welcomes everyone to the Great American Bash. Eve Torress is dressed in a name tag and says she has volunteered to clean up the party. Teddy Long introduces the United States Champion Santino Marella. He goes to light the grill when Kane appears and sets fire to the grill and everyone starts to dance. Yikes! SmackDown opening video kicks off the show. Josh Matthews, Michael Cole and Booker T are on commentary as we go to the ring with Ricardo Rodriguez introducing Alberto Del Rio. A video package plays of his beat down on Sin Cara on RAW. He says he isn't here to celebrate America but is here to talk about something more important - him. He says he will beat Sheamus, send him back crying to Ireland like a little goal and will be crowned the World Heavyweight Champion. Del Rio calls Sheamus a peasant, a hooligan. He rips into the fans when Ricardo points out a guy in the crowd and Del Rio asks him to show him his papers. Del Rio says the guy doesn't deserve to be here. Del Rio continues to walk around ringside and calls one kid a little alien. Del Rio tells a plant to be removed by security because he is in the country illegally. Sheamus then comes out and they go at it all the way to the back. Ricardo helps Del Rio and they open the hood of the car and slams the back of the hood over Sheamus repeatedly. Del Rio talks trash as Sheamus is out on the floor. After the break officials help Sheamus to his feet but he is a bloody mess. 1) WWE Divas Champion Layla & The Great Khali defeated Antonio Cesaro and Aksana when Layla pinned Aksana. Teddy Long runs into Cody Rhodes backstage. He says after he spoke to the WWE Board of Directors and complained, he was granted another shot at qualifying for WWE Money int he Bank. Teddy says they are letting him pick his opponent but it won't be against someone trying to qualify. It is against someone who did qualify... Christian. - Teddy Long runs into Cody Rhodes backstage. Cody says the Board has granted him another Money in the Bank qualifying match tonight. Teddy says they are letting him pick the opponent. He says it won't be against someone who is trying to qualify... it will be against Christian. Back to commercial. 2) Cody Rhodes defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match when he reversed the Killswitch into a Cross Rhodes. Back to the cookout and Heath Slater tries to sign but he is booed away. Zack Ryder plays Brodus Clay's music in and the dancers turn up and they all start dancing. 3) Dolph Ziggler defeated Alex Riley to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match when Ziggler hit the Zig Zag for the win. Michael Cole interviews AJ Lee in the ring. Footage of RAW plays where CM Punk and Daniel Bryan got pushed through the table. Cole asks her what she was thinking. She says a lot of people have asked her that. Cole says she wasn't thinking and the board of directors have made a bad decision in making her the special guest referee for Money in the Bank. Cole calls her a troubled girl, a teenager that should start pursuing a real man, like him. Cole starts flirting with AJ when Daniel Bryan comes out. He calls Cole a bully. He puts words in people's mouths and he backs him up against the ropes. Bryan sucks up to AJ and knows she will do a fine job at Money in the Bank. He says he knows AJ didn't mean to put through the table, only CM Punk. He forgives AJ when Punk's music hits. He makes Cole get out of the ring. He says he is upset by what happened on RAW and won't suck up to AJ because she is the special guest referee. He is going to be blunt and honest because that's what she deserves. He says she is worried about her because she is not in a good place mentally. He says AJ is a sweet girl but Bryan interrupts him, saying he is talking garbage. He says Punk is acting like he cares about AJ when Bryan is the only one who does. He drops the mic and faces AJ who kisses him for a minute. They keep on and Punk leaves the ring. AJ runs out and stops Punk to kiss him for a minute. She then skips off up the ramp as her music plays. She stops to chant YES! as Punk and Bryan look shocked. 4) WWE US Champion Santino Marella, Sgt. Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Drew McIntyre, Hunico & Camucho when Santino hit the Cobra on Hunico.R-Truth is at the back dancing with Little Jimmy at the cookout. Damien Sandow walks in and unplugs the music. he says this isn't what the founding fathers had in mind when they built America. Zack Ryder stops him and asks what his problem is. Sandow says WWE is a reflection of society and everyone stops him. Ryder says he can leave and they chant Ryder's name. Sandow beats him down but Ryder fights back. Ryder throws a bowl of red punch on Sandow but he ducks and it splashes all over Eve. Everyone laughs as Eve screams. 5) Ryback defeats Curt Hawkins in a squash match. Hawkins then is the first WWE Superstar in a while they've risked putting in the ring against Ryback and the guy treated him like a no-name jobber. Sheamus is announced as injured for tonight's battle royal. Teddy Long comes out and thanks the board of directors for making him General Manager this week. He has truly had a blast running the live SmackDown tonight. He says it is time to find out who will be General Manager next week. 6) Zack Ryder wins the 19 Man Great American Bash Battle Royal to become the SmackDown General Manager next week! Other superstars involved in the match were John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio, Kane, Jack Swagger, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Big Show, Ezekiel Jackson, Damien Sandow, Justin Gabriel, Tensai, The Great Khali, Brodus Clay, Heath Slater, Cody Rhodes and Santino Marella. Ryder last eliminated Kane to win when he ducked a charge by Kane that sent him over the top rope.
