WWE SmackDown Spoilers For January 21st

The go-home edition of WWE Monday Night RAW heading into the Royal Rumble this past Monday received mostly negative reviews, so do fans have anything to look forward too on SmackDown this Thursday night? This week's edition of SmackDown was taped Tuesday evening in Dayton, Ohio. Roughly half of the arena was tarped off due to unsold seats according to eye witness reports on Twitter. https://twitter.com/BTuckerTorch/status/689607845881450496 Prior to SmackDown's taping, a dark match took place which saw Zach Ryder pin Fandango in a very brief match. Next, WWE taped three matches to air on this week's edition of Main Event. Jack Swagger and Mark Henry defeated The Ascenscion (Konnor and Viktor) via pinfall, Neville defeated Tyler Breeze by pinfall, and The Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel and Heater Slater) beat The Dudley Boyz, also by pinfall. As for SmackDown itself, the show featured five matches. In what will be the final first-run WWE broadcast prior to the Royal Rumble, Dolph Ziggler and The Usos opened up the show by taking on The New Day. The Usos and Ziggler were victorious when Jey Uso pinned Xavier Woods. Next up was Becky Lynch taking on Alicia Fox. As Ric Flair and Charlotte sat ringside for the match, just as they did Monday night during RAW, Lynch was victorious by submission. A break in the action came next as they filmed a MizTV segment featuring Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens. In the third match of the evening, Bray Wyatt defeated Ryback. The Wyatt Family continues to receive a push as the top heel faction, something that was evident as RAW went off the air (and as this show goes off the air, more in a minute). Titus O'Neil pinned Stardust next in a very quick encounter. The main event featured Roman Reigns taking on the entire League of Nations (Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Bad News Barrett, and Rusev). Reigns won via DQ following interference. The Usos attempted to help Reigns, but the Wyatt Family came out and cleaned house, ending the show standing tall.
