WWE Smackdown Spoilers Results (Aug 11)

Rollins teams up with Owens in the main event.

This week's edition of Smackdown took place in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday night. Here are the results from the show. Smackdown began with a tribute to the late great Roddy Piper. His family was shown at ringside because he was beloved in the Portland area and the family lived there for many years. Seth Rollins did a show opening promo bragging about how he's the best pro wrestler alive and on the same level as sports icons Michael Jordan and Babe Ruth. He mentioned John Cena on Tough Enough and how he wanted Cena to accept his Title vs. Title challenge. Neville walked out to challenge Rollins to a WWE Title match. Then Cesaro showed up to ask Rollins for a title shot. Kevin Owens attacked Cesaro while Rollins went after Neville and that set up the main event tag match for later. Charlotte defeated Naomi by submission with the Figure Eight. This was a rematch of last week's match that ended in a disqualification. There was a video package about the Stardust/Stephen Amell rivalry and events from Raw. Ryback did a promo talking about his return from injury on Raw. He spoke about his SummerSlam match against Big Show and The Miz for the Intercontinental Title. Bo Dallas interrupted, saying he wanted to be added to the match as well. Ryback destroyed him with a Meathook Clothesline. Most likely WWE wants Ryback to take it easy after his injury, so this is a way to get him on the show without bumping. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper did a promo prior to the next match. Roman Reigns defeated Harper by disqualification when Wyatt broke up the pin attempt just as Reigns was about to win. The Prime Time Players defeated The New Day in a non-title match. WWE Champion Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens defeated Cesaro and Neville in a great match when Rollins pinned Cesaro by grabbing the tights. That means Cesaro was pinned on both Raw and Smackdown this week although this loss wasn't clean. Thanks to F4WOnline.com for the results.
