Why WWE Is Smart To Use Arnold Schwarzenegger On Raw

Monday night's Raw in Brooklyn, NY will feature a couple of guest stars, with the biggest name being legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He'll be there to promote his new movie "Sabotage" along with his co-star Joe Manganiello. In addition to Arnold and Joe, Scooby Doo is also supposed to be there to promote WWE's new film with Scooby Doo. In what form will the cartoon dog be there? We don't know and that's probably for the best at this point. Whenever a guest star is on Raw a lot of fans groan because it usually means some sort of poorly acted skit that doesn't really help the show. In Arnold's case, though, he's more of a natural fit. He's a guy that is a legend in the world of bodybuilding. That's how he originally became famous. Then he started acting, miraculously became a big star despite limited English ("it's not a tumor!") and even became the Governor of California. Arnold doesn't need a character to be on a wrestling show. He already IS that character. You couldn't book a story like his. The fact that he became as big he did is an amazing story and proof that if you work hard you can achieve anything. This won't be his first time working with WWE either. Arnold famously took part in an angle with Steve Austin and Triple H in 1999 when he got into a brawl with The Game. Arnold was on commentary, he put a steel chair into the ring that ended up costing Triple H the match and then Arnold attacked him at ringside. The crowd loved it. He ended the night drinking beers with Austin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp7QaKFOsHs Last year at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Madison Square Garden, WWE called upon Arnold to induct his good friend Bruno Sammartino into the WWE Hall of Fame. It was a big deal for WWE to get somebody of Arnold's stature for this event. Arnold told a story about how he became friends with Bruno Sammartino going back to the late 1960s. You could see the admiration that Arnold had for Bruno and how he was a role model to him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbSrTRO5HbY Before you write it off as a bad idea, give it a chance. Arnold's one of the most famous action movie stars that is a natural fit in WWE. Whatever he does on Monday night, it could be entertaining.
