WWE Snub Mick Foley In New Attitude Era Legends Merchandise

Just when WWE / Foley look back on good terms, this happens.

A new WWE 'Attitude Era Legends' T shirt has snubbed Mick Foley. Featured on the shirt are Kane, The Undertaker, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Triple H. This has provoked outrage in the internet wrestling community, with many fans believing that Triple H is on the shirt at the expense of Foley. It wasn't until much later in the Attitude Era that Triple H really became a big star, ironically after Foley put him over at Royal Rumble 2000. The fact is, Foley should definitely have been featured on any 'Attitude Era Legends' product like this. It was Steve Austin, The Rock, and Mankind who were the hottest stars of the era at one point. Indeed, it was Mankind's WWF Title win on Raw which has been heavily credited as a turning point in the Monday Night War. That was the night WCW really were rocked by the WWF, with huge numbers of viewers switching over from Nitro to Raw. You could say that Mankind's edgy and unlikely win was typical of the Attitude Era spirit. So why would WWE ignore Foley on this product? The company seemed to be on good terms with him, after featuring him in the opening of SummerSlam 2015. Yet this latest product seems to suggest that his Attitude Era legacy is barely worth referencing. They should have had on him there, and fans buying the shirt should think about whether it really represents the era. You can view / buy the shirt here.
