Shinsuke Nakamura beat 'King' Corbin and then stole the man's crown on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.

The Japanese star even posed in-ring with the crown on, leading some to believe that he'll soon be repackaged as 'King' Shinsuke. OK, maybe not, but it does appear like Naka and Corbin will now work a prolonged feud against one another on Friday nights.

Shin has kinda' been drifting since it briefly looked like he'd step up as Roman Reigns' next Universal Title challenger earlier this year. Meanwhile, Corbin has done nothing of note since his feud with Rey and Dominik Mysterio ended a few months back.

The 'King' has been treading water himself, but finally has a new direction on SmackDown.

It remains to be seen if this was a one off. Nobody would really be surprised if WWE returned the crown to Corbin next week and moved on like nothing had happened; Nakamura was shown admiring himself in the mirror with the crown on after the match though, so there's a chance this will be part of a bigger story.

WWE didn't announce a rematch for WrestleMania Backlash - this looks like a TV-only feud, folks.
