WWE Star To Miss WrestleMania 35 Title Match?

MAJOR concerns that a Championship match may be in jeopardy...

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio's match with Samoa Joe for the United States Championship may well be in jeopardy, after the SmackDown star injured his ankle in a match against Baron Corbin on Monday Night Raw, according to WWE.

Mysterio was scheduled to face Andrade on last night's SmackDown Live, but was unable to compete due to the injury he suffered on Monday.

According to reports, he will now be re-evaluated before WrestleMania 35 on Sunday to see if he can work his scheduled match against Joe for the United States Championship.

WWE's 'Biggest Little Man' sustained the injury during his main event match with Corbin on Raw, which was set-up after Rey stood up for his friend (and Baron's WrestleMania opponent) Kurt Angle.

Fans are already speculating online what could happen if 'The Master of the 619' is unable to challenge for Samoa Joe's title. Andrade and R-Truth, both men who've competed in championship matches recently would be obvious replacements, they could do away with the match altogether on an already stacked Mania card, or there is the possibility of John Cena returning to face Joe for the prestigious belt.
