WWE STILL Planning Tiered Network Subscription Pricing?

So says George Barrios...

The days of the WWE Network's universal $9.99 subscription fee may be coming to an end, according to the company's Chief Financial Officer on yesterday's WrestleMania 34 conference call.

Barrios feels that there's still potential for a tiered pricing system on the Network, and while the company don't have a timeframe yet, it's coming sooner rather than later. No further details were offered, nor did the callers press the CFO on the matter.

This isn't the first time that tiered pricing has been proposed. WWE first mentioned the idea in October 2016, when a survey advertising three different Network fees (with each offering access to different levels of content) was distributed. The changes never came to pass, but have been speculated ever since, with the topic often resurfacing when WWE release new quarterly financial reports.

The aforementioned survey mentioned a $14.99 tier featuring "independent wrestling content," and a free, barebones version of the Network restricted to five hours of archived footage. Other benefits like early ticket access, Hall Of Fame voting, and invites to exclusive meet and greets were also pitched. Presumably, such perks would feature again should WWE adopt this new pricing format.
