And so, the 25th Summerslam draws to a close with Brock Lesnar standing over Triple H with a massive submission victory. A largely forgettable PPV topped by a relatively brutal street fight between 2 future WWE legends and former world champions. The match, which was back and forth throughout, included some truly scary moments including Lesnar seemingly legit injured after going stomach first into an announce table. Given his long history of stomach problems it did seem for a while that things had taken a sinister turn. After both men hit their respective finishing moves and both men kicked out it seemed Hunter would get the duke with a second Pedigree. However Lesnar surprised him straight out of the move and finished off the COO of WWE with his devastating arm lock. Post match Triple H refused medical attention and slowly made his way out of the ring to a chorus of "You tapped out" chants. This was a massive anticlimax to the event, with no surprise appearance from the 'injured' HBK but perhaps it was rushed due to Lesnar's gut issues? The commentators suggested this is the last time we will ever see Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a WWE ring. We at What Culture are not so sure.
