WWE Summerslam Live - Ziggler Taps Out To Walls Of Jericho

Many pre-judged this match as a match of the year candidate, a battle between two of the biggest egos and - more importantly - best athletes in WWE today. So who's idea was it to put these two on first? If you ask us there's no way Jericho Vs Ziggler should open any PPV - unless they have additional plans for Dolph later in the show? It was nice to see Y2J play the role of face again, as he sold his injured ribs suffered at the hands of his opponent on the previous episode of Smackdown. Jericho has been heel for so long that it's really refreshing to see him playing to the crowd for support again. The match itself was very back and forth but saw Ziggler control most of the action, attacking Jericho's ribs and reiterating at every opportunity that the veteran was way past his prime. A huge Frankensteiner from the top rope turned things around in Jericho's favour but the momentum quickly swung back in Ziggler's favour. Both men hit their high impact finishers but ultimately it was Ziggler tapping out in the middle of the ring following failed interference from Vicky Guerrero. A surprising result in a very entertaining contest. Sadly it wasn't as good as many of us hoped but still one Hell of a way to open a PPV.
