WWE Suspends Chris Jericho For 30 Days

Y2J will likely miss June's WWE No Way Out pay-per-view because of the suspension.

we reported yesterday, WWE had suspended Jericho "indefinitely" for "desecrating" the Brazil national flag during the company's first ever live event in the country. Jericho kicked the flag that had been thrown into the ring by a fan during an attempt to draw heat from the crowd but as desecrating the national flag is an offence in Brazil, he was spoken to by police and was nearly arrested before he apologised to the live crowd. WWE.com updated their report on Jericho with the following statement;

"WWE Superstar Chris Jericho has been suspended for 30 days due to an irresponsible act of denigrating the Brazilian flag at a WWE live event in São Paulo on May 24."
Jericho has been pulled from all live event appearances and replaced by Daniel Bryan for the main event WWE Title matches against CM Punk. He is however still advertised for the WWE No Way Out pay-per-view on June 17th where he was set to wrestle against Randy Orton but we imagine that match will be changed and he will miss the show through suspension. Meanwhile two of Jericho's friends and former opponents have spoken in support of Jericho after the flag incident in Brazil. WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels said;
"I'll stand behind @IAmJericho any day of the week & twice on Sunday...what's the big 'E' stand for in WWE anyway!!"
Long time friend and former WWE Intercontinental Champion Lance Storm said;
"Thoughts on @IAmJericho He didn't do anything that hasn't been done a million times in wrestling. Wrong place & times change."
