Two masked friends have decided to go their separate ways.

Bad news for Lucha Dragon fans, as Sin Cara and Kalisto are splitting up their tag team.

The two went on a live Facebook video to announce that they will be entering tomorrow's draft as singles competitors. No need to worry, though, they assured us they will remain brothers.

They first joined forces in late 2014 in NXT, and introduced their team to the main roster the night after WrestleMania 31. They had some initial success as a duo, but never quite caught on in the way WWE hoped. Lately they've been relegated to putting over other teams in the division. It probably was time to try something new.

Kalisto has been given a bit of a singles push this year, as he had a run with the US Title before losing it to Rusev. It looks like WWE wants to keep him down this path, perhaps to be their next version of Rey Mysterio.

With the way Sin Cara has been pushed over the past couple of years, this may not bode well for his future. He may need to find himself a new partner, or turn heel to stay involved in storylines.

We'll find out tonight or tomorrow if the two will have one final going away match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
