Goldberg's name was subtly dropped for his Saudi Arabian involvement last weekend, and the biggest question since, besides "why?", has of course been, "Who's next?"

Following the trail of social media, we may already have a clue to Big Bill's return opponent. After the announcement, Raw's Bobby Lashley tested the Twitter waters, publicly noting his interest in Goldberg's return:

Lashley's tease caught the attention of the man in question, who responded threateningly:

Obviously, this low-key Twitter exchange is a long way from anything like an official confirmation, but it'd certainly be interesting if it's true. The two have never competed in the same ring, repeatedly missing out on one another throughout their careers.

Lashley made his WWE debut a year after Goldberg entered his first retirement. The Almighty was in Impact when the latter made his unexpected comeback, and upon his own return to the company, Bill had already been and gone.

WWE's next Saudi Arabian show is scheduled for Friday 7 June. A host of names including Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have been announced, though no matches have as yet been confirmed.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
