WWE: Top 10 Evolution Moments

9. Masters Of Deception

Early on in the life of Evolution, Ric Flair would battle with his conscience and with it tease a potential fallout in the Evolution ranks. After delivering a speech about his €˜idol€™ Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels would pressure Flair to leave Evolution and challenge him to a match to determine if he was, €œin the same league€ as €˜The Nature Boy.€™ Flair would accept the challenge, resulting in a furious Triple H reminding Flair that he was no longer the Ric Flair that Michaels serenaded in his speech, but was rather the Ric Flair of Evolution. Flair disagreed, resulting in a two on one handicap match with Michaels and Flair taking on Triple H. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG8VYV6xL0c Many fans assumed that Flair had indeed broken away from Evolution, and that he and Michaels would go on to beat Triple H comfortably. A quick Sweet Chin Music early in the match seemed to confirm that this would be the likely outcome. However when Michaels tagged Flair into the match, Flair would sucker punch an oblivious Michaels in the face, signalling that he was indeed still very much part of Evolution. A laughing Triple H would subsequently aid Flair in beating up a helpless Michaels, joined by a masked Randy Orton who had just returned from injury. Despite the late help of Kevin Nash, the three Evolution members fought off all opposition and stood victorious in the ring signalling that they were just as deceptive as they were ruthless.
