WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (May 11)

8. The Menagerie Debuts

Now I€™m not opposed to the idea of a group of evil carnies in professional wrestling. Who knows if Kazarny would have worked if given more than one week? I€™m also not opposed to putting a mask on Rob Terry and keeping him out of a wrestling ring. I€™m mainly opposed to the story behind The Menagerie. For weeks, we followed Knux travelling back to him hometown. His family€™s business was in shambles, and they were bitter at him for leaving. He was put in a bad situation. It€™s too bad that his TNA paychecks must be so horrendous, or he could have sent some money back to them to buy some new arcade machines. His parents were more likely tired of sending him money. Anyway, TNA cast Knux as a sympathetic figure in a move that doesn't make any sense. A week or two ago, we found out he€™s friends with a bunch of carnival freaks. That group was delivered to Impact in a giant sweaty box. Once unleashed, a clown, and a masked Terry followed Knux to the ring for his match against Kazarian. Who would have guessed this is how Kaz would go out? Anyway, the stable had evil Doink-like music, so I€™m guessing we€™re supposed to boo them. So why then did TNA spend all that time making us feel sorry for Knux? The man is just trying to help his family out, so why should we hate him? I€™m not ruling this out working for a bit, but the story doesn€™t click, and Knux doesn€™t appear to fit in visually. You can't pair three clowns, (two of them on stilts) with a guy in a blank tanktop and jeans. Still, it should be better for his career than Aces and Eights. Just please don€™t add Garett Bischoff to his new group.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
