WWE Ultimate Warrior DVD Review: 10 Things You Should Know

10. Warrior Is As Wild As Ever And His Opinion On 'Self Destruction' DVD

The initial perception on watching the opening of Warrior's interview is that this guy is as over-the-top as ever. Even before the traditional WWE opening 'Then. Now. Forever' video package we get a Warrior pre-amble in which he lets loose somewhat. "WARRIORS", he barks before doing what can only be described as a shuffling snort. He literally shakes his head, blowing his cheeks out and snorting. Is he meant to be in character, or is this just him as a person? At this stage of his life probably a bit of both. He speaks in the third person and shouts everything he says. If ever there has been a performer who believed they really were their character, it's Warrior. He went as far to legitimately change his name from Jim Hellwig to Warrior. The first thing he addresses is WWE's previous Ultimate Warrior DVD. He doesn't let fly in the same way as he has done in the past on his youtube shoot videos, but he isn't shy about criticising the WWE for 'The Self Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior'. He comments that the previous DVD was a mis-representation, and says his look over the WWE video library tells a very different story. He's right. After watching this collection you will certainly have an increased appreciation for Warrior as a worker.
