WWE Wants Eric Bischoff On Steve Austin's Podcast

Bischoff could be back on WWE TV soon.

There have been talks within WWE to have Eric Bischoff appear as a guest on an upcoming Stone Cold Podcast hosted by Steve Austin on the WWE Network, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It was also mentioned that Bischoff has been very outspoken that WWE's version of the Monday Night Wars is mostly a fantasy, which is true in some instances. Bischoff is the former WCW President and on screen GM of WWE Monday night Raw who hasn't appeared on WWE programming regularly since he was fired as GM in December 2005. During the Monday Night Wars series that WWE aired on WWE Network with 20 episodes running about one hour long for each of them, Bischoff is featured in interviewed taped in 2002. A lot of fans that watched the series didn't like the outdated interviews, but with Bischoff working for TNA Wrestling from 2009 to 2014 they really couldn't get new content from him. Now that he's free from TNA, he can return to WWE if he wants. WWE recently interviewed Bischoff for their "Monday Night War: Know Your Role" DVD that is a release of ten episodes of the Monday Night War series with the addition of those Bischoff interviews. That's the big selling point for it.
There's no word on if WWE has an interest in bringing back Bischoff to be an on screen character again. He was a great GM for the three year run he had in WWE, but at 60 years old, perhaps the company might not want to go back to him. If you can't wait for Austin to interview Bischoff, they actually did a four part podcast together for Austin's show on Podcast One that was very informative. As we reported last week, Sting is the expected guest for Austin's podcast in October although there's no confirmed date for that show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN1HvndgiZc
