WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Things Overly Optimistic Fans Still Hope Will Happen

Yes, we are pointing at you optimists who still believe Punk may return.

Wrestling fans want to see good things happen at WrestleMania. It's fine if other shows feature villains succeeding, but at WrestleMania there's an expectation that the good guys will do well. That's the way we were brought up over the years as we watched our heroes like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin find a way to win the biggest match of their career. We want to see WrestleMania end with the good guy victorious at the end of the show as fireworks go off and the fans watching at home are sent home happy because their guy won. Those same fans tend to be really optimistic when they look at the WrestleMania card every year. This year is certainly no exception since they have a bunch of big matches set up for the good guys to get those wins. Generally speaking, wins and losses shouldn't matter in a business with scripted outcomes, but when you're telling a story the right way it's important for our favorites to come out on top. Here's a look at ten things that the positive thinking fan wants to see at WrestleMania. Get those "yes" chants ready.

10. The Return Of CM Punk

It's gotten to the point where some fans are likely sick of the CM Punk talk, which is understandable. He left the night after the Royal Rumble because he was not happy with whatever direction WWE was headed in and there's been no indication that he's going to come back to WWE anytime soon. For the fans that are optimistic, they are definitely hoping to hear "Cult of Personality" one more time and for CM Punk to walk down that WrestleMania aisle one more time. Maybe he'll save a babyface wrestler from an attack or come through the crowd. Maybe he won't be there at all. We don't know what it would be. As a fan that considers himself optimistic, I don't expect CM Punk at WrestleMania. It seems like WWE is taking shots at him on nearly every show at this point and his return for WrestleMania is very unlikely. However, there are probably people watching at home that think it could happen. In the wresting business, you just never know.
