WWE WrestleMania 33: 10 Returns That Could Happen

Is it time for 'Mania to get #BROKEN?

The RAW after WrestleMania is known for introducing new faces to the WWE Universe, or re-introducing beloved stars into the fold. But the Grandest Stage itself has seen its fair share of Earth-shattering returns over the last 30+ years, be they one-off cameos or triumphant reappearances that would go on to shape the future of the wrestling industry.

With WWE’s talent acquisition program now more open than ever, many fans are expecting to see even more new and exciting global Superstars plying their trade in an NXT or WWE ring following WrestleMania.

But what about the titans of old, or the injured and sidelined Superstars of today?

With millions of eyes trained on Orlando and the WWE Network, WrestleMania 33 is the perfect time for some of the company’s most respected and popular names to make their return. Obviously, we won’t see ten different wrestlers re-signing with WWE come April 2nd - that would turn the show into a glorified contract signing or never-ending pop-fest, rather than a night of wrestling.

But given the current climate of injured Superstars and free agents, don’t be surprised to see at least one of these names making a huge comeback at WrestleMania 33.

10. Emma

At this rate, Emma might break the record for Most Returns in a Single Year, given how disastrous her failed turn as Emmalina was. Since she’ll now be returning to the RAW brand with her tried and tested "It’s all about me" heel gimmick, Emma may well show up after or during the RAW Women’s Championship match, and stake her claim to the title.

The red brand’s women’s division needs new faces, or at least some reinvigorated old ones, and what better way to introduce Emma to the world than on the Grandest Stage of them All? Dedicated fans are probably looking to wash the bad taste of the Emmalina debacle from their mouths, while casual fans don’t even need to be aware of the character’s existence, and can just enjoy watching the ‘true’ Emma make a splash on WWE’s flagship Pay-Per-View.

Having recently tweeted that we’d only be waiting ‘one more week’ until her return, it’s a safe bet that Emma will either appear at WrestleMania, or on the following RAW. Having her re-debut on the RAW before the largest event in WWE’s calendar would be a huge mistake, and would probably render her next push dead on arrival.
