WWE WrestleMania 35 To Be Held In New Jersey?
Will 'Mania return to the MetLife Stadium in 2019?
WWE are yet to officially confirm a location for WrestleMania 35, but if Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports is to be believed, the event will be held at the MetLife Stadium in the New York/New Jersey area.
This is the same location that hosted WrestleMania 29, which was headlined by the second John Cena vs. The Rock bout. The building is located in East Rutherford, NJ, but if WM 29 is anything to go by, WWE will market it as a New York-based show.
Fox writes that Detroit and Philadelphia were also considered as host cities. Both have held past 'Mania events (Detroit had WM 23, and Philly WM XV), but were ultimately ruled out by the company.
It's worth nothing that this is just a rumour at this stage, and shouldn't be considered a done deal until WWE make their own announcement. Fortunately, we shouldn't have long to wait. The company revealed 'Mania 34's location on January 2nd, 2017, so this year's confirmation may only be days away.
On top of the location, Fox reports that WrestleMania 35th's date will be April 7th, 2019, which is in-line with recent years.
