WWE's Brock Lesnar Helping CM Punk With UFC Advice

CM Punk takes notes from Brock Lesnar.

CM Punk is taking MMA career advice from Brock Lesnar. Punk was speaking with Wisconsin News TMJ4, when he referenced that Brock was helping him out.
€œI€™ve talked to and he€™s offered all his help, even if it€™s just bug him with a stupid question. It€™s cool to know he supports me. He€™s a good guy to know."
Lesnar is the UFC's biggest pay per view box office sensation, but he left MMA to return to WWE in 2012. It was at this time that Brock first met Punk, who was then the WWE Champion. The pair ended up wrestling a brilliant match together at SummerSlam 2013. Now in the present day, Lesnar is currently WWE Champion and Punk has left pro wrestling in order to pursue his own MMA dream. Getting advice off Brock is a smart move, but Punk should bear in mind that Lesnar was hardly a rounded mixed martial artist. What he can learn from Brock is the business of MMA. The former Heavyweight Champion was very astute in his dealings with UFC President Dana White. Punk can perhaps take confidence from Brock's stories of how to handle yourself in the corporate aspect of Ultimate Fighting. Lesnar was great at getting himself over as a commercial brand. It was that level of commercial awareness that got Brock's foot in the door. It was then brute force which saw Lesnar quickly ascending to the UFC's Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for Punk, Brock can't advise on how to become a natural physical freak. Punk's debut fight is still some way off and will most likely be in December. As for Lesnar's future, he continues to be linked with a return to the UFC. There's a very good chance that he'll leave WWE after his contract expires in the days after WrestleMania 31.
